Lesson: in-class project about a meaningful quote
Quote Assignment – In-class Project
A quote can be made famous depending upon who said it, the circumstance in which it was stated, and its relevance to others.  A popular saying may point out the obvious, might enlighten a population to a whole new idea, or inspire individuals to reach their daily goals.  Above all else, identifying with a particular quote helps identify our character or our motives in life.

Objective:
Students will identify a quote that has meaning to themselves, create a visual representation of it, and share it with the class.

Directions:
1. Find a meaningful quote that has specific importance to you. Without a meaningful quote, this assignment will serve no purpose.
2. Record the quote clearly and neatly on a piece of paper in a visually pleasing manner (THINK ART!)
-Add any information or images that also help to give context for the quote, for instance if you know the original author, time, or purpose, those details would be helpful.
-On the back, write (pen or pencil) why the quote is meaningful to you

3. You will present this to the class, either formally or informally.
Homework
