Objective
I will reflect on the last year, review my growth as a reader, and choose a power word for the coming year.
Agenda
1. Journal
Write a paragraph about your experience over winter break. 5 or more sentences. Suggestsions: Was it positive or negative? Are holidays more meaningful now that you're older or when you were much younger? Should we have winter break or should we just have the specific holidays themselves off? How was your year, in retrospect?

Words carry such unique power! Using the words from the word search (*handout given in class*) as your inspiration, list three words that are most meaningful for you.
