I will analyze a short story for theme and foreshadowing.
Agenda
IAN page 15: (title)The Monkey's Paw -Notes: Attach 5 post-it notes. On the first two, write an example of foreshadowing from the story. Under the post-it, write the event that it foreshadowed. *Google it if you're unsure* One the next three post-its, for each post-it write the wish that was made, and under the post-it write the consequence or result of the wish.

IAN page 16: (title)The Monkey's Paw - Activities: You will need your textbook for this (everyone has a copy at home, and it can also be reached at my.hrw.com with student gmail information to login). Label half of the IAN page "Analyzing the Text" and answer #s 4-7 from textbook page 118. You don't have to write the question but you do have to write a complete response with specific nouns. Label the next half of the page "Critical Vocab". Write the word pairs from the Critical Vocabulary section on textbook page 119. Next to each word pair, write how the pair of words is either similar or different.
