Bellwork: Use these words each in a sentence- poignant, bravado, exuberance, degradation, stoic, ostensible
Lesson: Rotating Stations. Textbook pages 226-227.
1. Title: Critical Vocabulary
You’ve already defined these words in your Bellwork from 4/12. Use those definitions (they’re included in the margins of Marigolds on pages 213-224) to complete Critical Vocabulary numbers 1-5 on page 227. You do not need to write the question as long as you restate it in your response.
Example:
Textbook says: Is it perverse to seek retribution for stolen property? Why?
You write: It would be perverse to seek retribution for stolen property because…

See? Eazy peazy!

There will be a vocab section on your Marigolds test.

2. Title: Latin Suffixes
Read the information about Latin suffixes on page 227 in your textbook including the directions for the Practice and Apply section.
1. Write: -ation = “state, condition, or quality of”
2. Write each of the 5 sentences from the Practice and Apply section.
3. Circle the word the directions ask you to identify in each sentence.
4. Write your definition for the circled word and highlight it.
