NARRATIVE ESSAY OMG 8TH GRADERS

Your narrative essay FINAL draft is due in your Google Classroom (or emailed to charmon@stu.morongo.k12.ca.us) by 1:50pm on 11/9/17.

Prompt:
Write about an experience in your life that taught you a life lesson. Use dialogue and detail to make your personal story interesting to an audience.

It should be:

• 3-5 paragraphs
• Introduction (interesting start, sets the stage for the story by giving background/setting/character information)
• Body (share details that make story more realistic, make the audience feel how you felt during those moments, use dialogue and details to create the story)
• Conclusion (wraps up the story, states the lesson you learned)

I will be grading you on the content as described above and language mechanics, but also for these formatting items:

• 12-point font, black color
• Times New Roman font
• Lines are double spaced
• Text is left-aligned (rather than centered)
• MLA format heading (see Google Classroom instructions for example)
