Reading Log
All Periods: This quarter we will begin weekly Reading Logs as part of our homework grade.
I am asking you to read 100 pages per week. The log sheets are being handed out this week and will be collected on the last day each period sees me the following week. To read 100 pages a week, you will need to read 14 pages a day all week or 20 pages a day on school days. (Or, consider binge reading on a few occasions like a champ).
Extra log sheets can be found in the Reading Log folder in the Missed Work crate beside my desk. Also, here is a printable copy of the document.
I don't want you to hate reading; find something you enjoy. Magazines and eBooks are fine as long as you can count the pages. Find an audio file of your book online (YouTube) and you can even have your book read to you wile you follow along on your own page. You CAN do this!
Until someone tells me otherwise, each reading log will be worth 100 homework points as an incentive to complete this weekly assignment.
